The LNG Canada Phase 1 Project comprised numerous scopes of work, peaking at 23 individual contracts, all requiring concrete supply. These scopes included Terminal A upgrades on the Douglas Channel, a new Terminal B Material Offloading Facility, Trains 1 and 2, LNG Tank #1, non-process buildings, the world-class Cedar Valley Lodge camp facility, and electricity grid upgrades in partnership with BC Hydro.

Kentron Construction utilized an existing concrete plant previously used for the Rio Tinto Modernization Project and established a second, brand-new, fully winterized/enclosed portable batch plant. Kentron supplied up to 13,000 m³ of concrete to the site monthly throughout construction, with the largest single-day pour reaching 1,136 m³.

In total, the project required over 240,000 m³ of high-specification concrete delivered over six years. Notable mix designs included 40 MPa marine mixes for all terminal scopes, 40 MPa mixes for the LNG tank, light and heavy-duty paving mixes used site-wide, as well as various mud slabs and high-flow fill mixes.
